Learning from the Dead

This anatomical exhibition presents a comprehensive, scientifically valuable collection of didactically displayed anatomical specimens. It consists of preserved real human bodies, skeletons, limbs, organs, and organ blocks, conveying medical knowledge and unique insights to interested visitors.

The bodies, body parts, and organs come from body donors and were permanently preserved using the so-called plastination technique.

Special focus is placed on cancer and tumors: various tumor types and specimens are exhibited and explained. The exhibition offers comprehensive explanations, multimedia presentations, and didactic panels on general and specific topics concerning the human body. Main topics include the skeletal and musculoskeletal system, brain and nervous system, reproductive organs, heart and circulatory system, kidneys and urinary tract, digestive system, sensory organs, respiratory system, and lungs.

Out of respect for the deceased and the purpose of body donation, all bodies and organs are presented exclusively in medical-didactic poses. The focus is on the transfer of knowledge through real human specimens, depicted in a profound and comprehensive manner.

Ticket Prices

- Children up to 5 years: €5.00
- Pupils and students: €12.00
- Adults: €17.00

Severely disabled persons with an accompanying person ID can bring one accompanying person free of charge. The accompanying person does not need a ticket. Dogs are not allowed, except for guide dogs and assistance dogs. These guide dogs must wear a muzzle and harness. With an admission ticket, access to the exhibition is possible at any time during the opening hours of the booked day.
